Lingerie is delicate and often expensive. Looking after your underpinnings really helps prolong the life of your lingerie and a little attention towards your storage methods works wonders...

When it comes to lingerie storage there are two types of bra to take into consideration: The soft cup bra and The moulded cup bra. These two bras need storing differently and the moulded cups need extra care and attention. It's important not to squash or fold one cup into the other as moulded cups can easily become misshapen. The best way is to hang or stack your moulded cup bras together (as pictured below) in a dedicated drawer.

Pattern hooks are a great way to hang your moulded bras without needing a draw or taking up too much precious wardrobe space. Make sure the bra clasps are fastened t0 avoid the hooks getting tangled in expensive lace, satin or silks.
Soft cup bras, whether lace, jersey, underwired or non-wired can be stored folded. Just fasten the back clasp and simply fold your bras at the centre and tuck in the straps.

- DIY LINGERIE HANGER -
You'll need a supply of wooden hangers (I used five for this demonstration but you can use as many as your wall space will allow). Make sure they have grooves for the straps to slip into. Next you'll need 2" gold cup hooks.
Screw the hooks into the centre on the hangers, making sure the hook is facing outwards. Then simply stack the hangers and hang your bras.
